Wolkenstein II, a 16H 1" chestnut Hanoverian stallion born 1990,  is already proving himself as a fabulous sire of performance horses.  He has an absolutely impeccable pedigree.  His sire is the incomparable Weltmeyer, 1998 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, and considered by many to be the Hanoverian Sire of the Century.  He comes from a foundation mother line.  His grandmother was a full sister to Garibaldi I and Garibaldi II (sire of Gifted).

Wolkenstein II's performance record is exceptional.  He was Reserve Champion at the 1992 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, German Champion Three-Year-Old Riding Horse in 1993, and Champion of the 1993 Stallion Performance Test.  Video clip is available on www.horse-gate.com.  Click on Hengste Bewegungen.

Wolkenstein II's offspring are continuing the tradition.  He has had 41 stallions licensed.  His son, Welser, was Reserve Champion at the 1997 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, and Reserve Champion at the 1998 Stallion Performance Test.  His son, Waterford, was Champion at the 1998 Stallion Licensing, and Champion at the 1999 Stallion Performance Test.  Wildest Dream was Champion of the Three-Year-Old Mares and Geldings Class at the 1999 German National Riding Horse Championships.

Wolkenstein II's daughters are also proving themselves, 142 are States Premium Mares in Germany.   Wildflower was Champion of the Young (2-3 year-olds) Group at the 1999 Louis Wiegel Show (German National Champion Mare Show).  Wolkenrose was 1999 USDF Mature Horse Champion for the Southeastern Region (USA).

Wolkenstein II's Classically-Sired foals are making quite a name for themselves.  Will (Wolkenstein II/Closet Dancer xx), bred by Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll (NC) was Reserve Grand Champion at Dressage at Lexington;  Colt, Young Horse, and Hanoverian Champion at the NCDCTA Sport Horse Classic; and East Coast Breeders Championship at  Young Horse Reserve Champion at Dressage at Devon as a weanling in 1996.  Wolkenspring (Wolkenstein II/Dividende) won her Two-Year Old Fillies, and went on to be Reserve Champion Filly at Dressage at Lexington North Carolina for Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll.  Wianna (Wolkenstein II/Dom Perignon) won her Weanling Fillies Class, also at Dressage at Lexington North Carolina for the Carrolls.
