Foal Registration
Foals are registered through the registry of their dam. It is highly recommended that you contact the breed registry you wish to register the foal in to make sure that the foreign sire you have chosen is an "approved" stallion for that particular breed registry. Regardless of the registry you wish to register your foal in a "Stallion Certificate of Service" must be submitted by the agent of the frozen semen before registration papers will be issued for the foal. Typically the "Stallion Certificate of Service" is submitted to the breed registery of the foreign sire. For example, if you are breeding your Oldenburg mare to Weltmeyer (a Hanoverian stallion) then the "Stallion Certificate of Service" will be submitted to the American Hanoverian Society. If you would like to request a Stallion Certificate of Service be submitted for your foal please e-mail me the following information:

If you are breeding your Hanoverian mare to a Non-Hanoverian, VhW-approved foreign stallion, please keep in mind that the foreign stallion must be approved by The American Hanoverian Society.
