Edison

(Escudo I / EM Wieta [Wolkenstein II])

Edison is a handsome black colt by Escudo I out of the Elite Hanoverian Mare, Wieta (Wolkenstein II). Edison's pedigree contains fabulous jumping bloodlines (Escudo, Espri and Wanderer), but his elastic movement will turn heads in the dressage arena. His trot, in particular, is very active behind and free in the shoulder. He is a very smart and sensitive colt in a beautiful black package. Edison was named the top colt at his AHS (American Hanoverian Society) Inspection in 2003 by Dr. Wilkins of the German Hanoverian Verband who especially praised his excellent type. Edison's dam was champion of her AHS inspection (7.84 overall with 8's on her gaits) and champion of her Mare Performance Test with an 8 for rideability. She carries the influential blood of Weltmeyer through her sire Wolkenstein II as well as the refining blood of Lauries Crusador xx. Edison was bred by Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll.
