St. Pr. St. Wintersong (Weltmeyer-Moira [Matcho x]), bred by Marefield Meadows, was Grand Champion at Devon in 1993 as a yearling!  Her obvious charm and movement captivated her audience.  "She just got better in every class!"  said Maxine Mickel, who planned the pairing of Moira with Weltmeyer.

Whiz Kid (Werther-Lavender [Condus]) bred by Hilda Gurney and ridden by Susan Madden Mandas has a long list of accomplishments to his name:  1998  USDF/ABIG Region 2 Champion at Intermediare I and Reserve Champion at Prix St. Georges; 1997 USDF Reserve Champion at Fourth Level; 1996 Region 6 Champion at Second Level.  In 2000 Whiz Kid made his debut at Grant Prix level, and came in 2nd at his very first show at this level.   Photo by Terri Miller.

Will (Wolkenstein II-Closet Dancer xx) bred and shown by Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll was Reserve Grand Champion at Dressage at Lexington NC, Colt, Young Horse, and Hanoverian Champion at the NCDCTA Sport Horse Classic; and East Coast Breeders Championship Young Horse Reserve Champion at Dressage at Devon as a weanling in 1996!  Photo © 1996 Susan Sexton.

Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll with Dividende [Domingo] with her daughters, Reserve Grand Champion Wiesling [Wolkentanz] and Grand Champion Wolkenspring [Wolkenstein II]

Wolkenspring (Wolkenstein II/Dividende [Domingo]) was Grand Champion at the 2000 Dressage at Lexington VA Show, after winning the Three Year Old Fillies Class, the Filly Championship and Young Horse Championship.  Wolkenspring had won the 1997 Weanling Fillies Class, and the 1999 Two-Year Old Fillies Class at the same show.  Wolkenspring is the pride and joy of Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll.  Wolkenspring's little weanling half sister, Wiesling (by Wolkentanz) won her Weanling Filly Class, and was right behind her sister as Reserve Grand Champion, Reserve Filly Champion and Reserve Young Horse Champion.


Fonteyn (Werther-Starrcrest Lady xx [Pack Trip xx]) owned by Nicole Chastain and bred by Anne Schmidt  has begun a career as a dressage horse.  In 1996 Fonteyn won the Bari von Buedigan Award as the High Scoring Mare during the American Hanoverian Inspection Tour with a '9' for her trot.  Photo by Scarlett.
